Chuck Wittmer is the proprietor of POP Consulting and an accomplished postal optimization professional who assists mailers and shippers through consulting and by matching their needs with the most appropriate service providers. For more than 25 years he has been helping clients understand and evaluate the available options. Most recently, he was Director Operations at one of the nation’s largest-volume mail commingling facilities, Automated Presort, and was responsible for everything from innovations to profit/loss statements. Prior to this oversight position, he focused his efforts directly with mailers and shippers, working with those clients in a consultative sales approach to smartly reduce their expenditures in mailing and light-weight parcel shipping. These positions included Vice President Sales at Automated Presort and Regional Sales Manager with UPS Mail Innovations.
Chuck’s service and expertise in assisting clients include: optimizing postage expenditures; improving processes for letters, flats and light-weight parcels; earning USPS workshare discounts for First-Class, Standard Mail Commercial and Nonprofit rates, and Parcels; navigating USPS regulations and initiatives such as Intelligent Mail, eInduction and Seamless Acceptance.
He is a long-time member and VP of Education with Mail Systems Management Association Chicago. He was awarded the 2018 National Supplier of the Year Award by MSMA. Chuck is an active member of three Postal Customer Council chapters. He has spoken at local and national trade association shows such as the National Postal Forum and MailCom.
Chuck has served in several key volunteer positions at his parish and was the Chair for a charity dedicated to adding meaning to the days of adults with Developmental Disabilities. He earned a B.S. Degree in Marketing at University of Southern Indiana.
